| Tracing its ancestry back to the late 50s with roots in the Imperial and PFM families, the Sheaffer Triumph Imperial from the mid 90s is a terrific pen that features Sheaffer's legendary inlaid nib design. The pens in this series are very well-made, nice and light in the hand so they're comfortable for long stretches of writing, and offer terrific value and writing performance.
This particular set, including the burgundy fountain pen and rollerball, is new in its original presentation box. The fountain pen features a broad stainless steel nib (and is equipped with a converter for use with bottled fountain pen ink), and both pens are trimmed with chrome accents. The rollerball pen has its original refill, which is unopened. Theoretically, this should work, but we cannot guarantee this.
If you haven't tried a Sheaffer with an inlaid nib, this is definitely an opportunity that you won't want to pass up. Sheaffer's inlaid nib design has a very distinctive writing style, and they're typically marvelous performers. With the substantial chunk of iridium tipping on this nib, it would also make a terrific candidate for a custom nib grind from your favorite nibmeister!
