I am beginning to discover the beauty and consistency of Private Reserve inks. They write well in everything I have put them in and have great color! I will definitely be buying more PR inks in the future...at least until I have one of each color!

All in all Private Reserve certainly makes the most beautiful blue inks: Lake Placid is my favourite and I also like American and Supershow Blue, although the latter is a bit too dark if I put it into my gusher pens.
The real problem for me is that they do not last too well - they all fade into some kind of light purple over time or with exposure to a lot of sunlight. Then again they do last a lot better than traditional blue inks, such as Parker Quink 'Permanent' Blue or Waterman Florida Blue (which disappear completely in the same conditions) and they cannot be eradicated with eradicator pens such as the Pelikan Super-Pirat.

Private Reserve Spearmint a winner |

Green is one of those difficult colors to choose. Is it too bright? Too yellowish? Too brownish? ...and so on. After looking at a whole lot of greens I decided on Spearmint and I'm very happy with it. Bright enough to jump out from the page a bit, but subdued enough to use at work.

If you want vibrant colors, try P.R. |

I have a number of P.R. inks in my collection, and all have been well-behaved. Dry times do vary - I'm pickier than some, being left-handed - but most are quite fast. The slower can be adjusted by adding a bit of water, and generally the color remains quite saturated.
Overall, great inks for color enthusiasts.

Midnight Blues A Top Blue-Black |

I've tried a number of blue blacks. Indeed, I think I've tried just about every blue-black that's currently offered. PR Midnight Blues stands above the pack in terms of color. It has been regarded by many as capturing the essence of a classic blue black.
Beyond color, the lubrication properties of this ink are fantastic. Like writing on glass. As a consequence of this smoothness and flow, however, the ink does dry somewhat slower than the fastest driers. Nothing that would distract from an overall positive experience, but worthy of note nevertheless.
