First introduced in 1966, the Lamy 2000 is a model of timeless design. Made of fiberglass reinforced Makrolon with stainless steel accents, this pen is lightweight and easy to write with. Another feature of the Lamy 2000 is the wonderful patina this pen will develop over time.

The Lamy 2000 is a piston-filler, which fills only with a bottle. It's smooth 14K Gold nib is available in extra fine, fine, medium, or broad nib.

What can't be said of this pen July 12, 2008

It's Bauhaus been in constant production for years, is a piston filler and writes from the get go.  Buy one right now!  some people are put off by the metal grip but it has some texture so isn't as much a problem.

a great pen. it is very light and easy to hold and write with for long periods of time. the nib is very smooth. a warning though, they tend to run a size large, so buy the next size down from the one you normally like. the piston fill holds a lot of ink; i write with it regularly and only fill every week or two. its a great classic minimalist design, and German engineered.
