Great way to try out new inks |

Before I found these samplers, I wasted a lot of money on bottles of ink I thought I'd like from pictures/scans, but was disappointed when I actually tried them. The little glass bottles are great for re-use as traveling inkpots. There's enough ink to get a good feel for each ink, and there's a great range of colors from which to choose. I highly recommend this sampler.

I would never have gotten into bottled inks without this option. How fantastic to be able to try out colors first, from such a huge array of options. The little bottles are very well-packaged, and it's great to be able to experiment. So far colors have turned out very differently than I've expected, and I'm completely addicted to this system. Can't lose!

So simple yet so brilliant! PearTree's sampling program is literally a stroke of genius that provides a cost-effective opportunity for FP users to personally experience inks of multiple colors and makers in their personal environments of space, papers and pens. To boot, James has the broadest selection of inks I've ever seen on any one seller's site. Packaged intelligently, shipped quickly, customized individually, this is a parcel worthy of great anticipation. Well done, man!

James has made available a must have for everyone, especially new fountain pen users. Sampling the ample amounts of different inks really shows how the inks will perform for you. Written reviews are great but this is what it's all about! Wet Ink Fresh Paper and your favorite Fountain Pen!

There are so many ink choices available today that it's difficult to decide which ones are worth buying, and what good is a full bottle of ink you won't use? For this very reasonable price you get to sample four inks, and although the samples are small, they aren't *that* small. I get three or so converters full from the samples, giving me plenty of ink to make a decision.
