Diamine brand ink has a long and rich history, dating back to 1864 when T. Webster and Co. founded the company in London. In 2003, the Diamine line was introduced to the US market and has quickly become one of the most popular and sought-after brands around.

Diamine recently introduced their "New Century" inks, featuring many bright new colors, while their Old English inks remain a popular choice among fountain pen enthusiasts. All Diamine inks are safe for all fountain pens.

Diamine inks come in an 80 ml. glass bottle, except for Registrar's Blue, which is packaged in 28.4 ml. bottles.

I find Diamine's China Blue ink to be most unusual. It goes on looking similar to a washable blue from Parker or some other company but then dries to a delightful pastel china colored blue. It's just dark enough for easy reading on white paper.

Imperial Purple r July 10, 2008

So far, Dimaine's Imperial Purple is the ONLY purple ink I have found to not bleed (at all) in the thin pages of my Moleskine journal. (But it will slightly feather)

Of note: This ink is a gusher on thin paper. (Read Moleskine)I have to use this one only in EF nibbed pens or it's just too thick of a line.

A saturated ink with a little shading.
